Me On The Map We read Me On the Map by Joan Sweeny. In the story the little girl talks about how she can find her country, state, city, street, house, and her room on a map. Please continue to help your child discuss where they live and how to find these locations on a map. See if they can explain why we need maps and the symbols that we use on them. |
Find your countryWe discussed that in order to find your country you must first find North America.
Find your stateAs they sing the states song we listen for Michigan and cheer when we hear it.
What is your city?Continue to help your child practice their address, street, and city. It can be helpful to sing your address in order to help them remember their house number.
